Building Dreams, Transforming Lives - June 2025
When the U&I 4 USI Committee first came up with the $202,600 goal for the campaign to help the Unaccompanied Students Initiative organization build a new home that will provide housing for unhoused student mothers and their children, I was very skeptical. After all, I saw the amounts for contributions and other income that FCC received on a monthly basis and wondered how we would ever be able to raise this additional amount.

Where Is There a New Thing at FCC Cheyenne?
The art of change and transition is truly an art form. But with it can also come change and transition fatigue. We’ve had a lot of these types of transitions going on recently, and unfortunately and fortunately, even more to come.

Where Is There a New Thing at FCC Cheyenne?
In 2021, the theme for the Central Rocky Mountain Region’s regional assembly was “God’s New Thing” and I feel that theme is so apt for us now.

Cheyenne First Christian Church History - Part 14
In January 2010, a devastating earthquake hit Haiti, killing 200,000 people and leaving 1.5 million homeless. Christian Borgaard, Pastor Kurt Borgaard’s son, and a 7th grader at Carey Jr. High school, came up with a project asking students and staff to donate $1 each to send to the Red Cross for aid. This initiative was able to collect more than $2,600 in three days. Christian then extended his idea to the congregation to raise additional money for the Red Cross.

Lent is Time to Self-Reflect
The start of Lent is always a time when we dig down deep and contemplate and do some self-reflection. This Lent we’ll be talking about rebirth, rejuvenation, and resurrection. We’ll go from ashes to rebirth through the six weeks of Lent.
