Appreciation!
A word of appreciation to all who shared with us on April 3 at the All-Church Good Friday event sponsored by the Christian Women’s Fellowship. We hope the importance and significance of Good Friday contributed a meaningful step in your journey through and observance of Holy Week as we approached Easter. A special thank you to Theresa Barbre and Krista Williams for sharing their talents with us. Following the service in the chapel, the food and fellowship were fantastic. The

Thank You - April 2026
Thank you so much for inviting me to participate in First Christian’s 100th anniversary celebration. It was wonderful to learn about the church’s rich history and commitment to the Cheyenne community. I truly appreciated the incredible hospitality shown by everyone. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your celebration. The First Christian Faith Family is a wonderful witness to God’s love to all. Blessings, Pastor Vinnetta

Town Hall Recap
We met on February 4th at Highlands Presbyterian Church for a town hall meeting to discuss the finances of the church. The point of meeting at Highlands instead of in our building was to remember that we are a congregation first and we connect with the church building second. We can be church outside of these walls. We had great attendance and discussed the fact that we have 4.3 years of reserves left before we will be out of money to support our budget. 4.3 years. That w

Cheyenne First Christian Church—History Part 19
2021: Vision and Revitalization By May 2021, Pastor Aerii and the elders had begun a crucial process of examining the church's concerns and aspirations for the future. This strategic planning effort involved comparing current challenges with the 2018 list compiled by Pastor Brite, who had encouraged the congregation to be creative, "think outside the box," and move toward ministry that was not based on habit or "what we've done before," but instead on the always-creative cal

First Christian Church - History Part 18
2019 2019: Pastor Brite's Final Year Pastor Bob Brite's final year was marked by both personal challenges and institutional growth. Despite facing the simultaneous deaths of his father and aunt in December 2018, he led the church through significant developments. Worship attendance increased with the successful attraction of "30-somethings," prompting a comprehensive evaluation through Q&A sessions covering Ministry of Music, The Word, The Prayers, and The Table. First Christian Church - History Part 17
2017 First Christian Church served as co-host for the 2017 Christmas House with the Women's Civic League. The church celebrated what was officially termed the "91¾ anniversary celebration" in 2017, compensating for an oversight that prevented the proper 90th anniversary celebration in 2016. During the Christmas Parade on November 25th, the church participated with a float themed "Cupcake Com-mon" as part of the parade's Candyland theme. Pastor Bob Brite and Rita Basom col
