Building Dreams, Transforming Lives - November 2025

We have always wanted to be part of a church that focuses on taking care of the people who need help the most. On one of the first Sundays we visited First Christian Church, we realized we had found exactly what we were hoping for. That Sunday, we heard a report from the outreach committee on all the projects the church was actively involved with. One that jumped out to me was the U&I 4 USI campaign. I was already familiar with USI, so I was really excited to hear FCC was supporting the project as well. 

However, I had no idea just how MUCH support the church was hoping to provide to USI. Throughout our first year here at FCC, I’ve been so impressed with the ways the church is coming together to reach the enormously ambitious goal of $202,600. We’ve really enjoyed all the fun ways the congregation has worked together to raise funds for teen moms. From the cozy chili supper last winter to the warm summer night block party in June—we’ve appreciated the chance to get to know the people of our new congregation while helping to support USI. That’s what I call a win-win!
