First Christian Church has always been an involved community church. It has provided needed help to the community of Cheyenne, Laramie County and the State of Wyoming.
We are not stopping either. We continue to donate tuna to Needs, a monthly meal to the Comea Shelter, and meals for Family Promise and other organizations.
We'll be celebrating our church's 100th anniversary January 18, 2026. So mark your calendars.
To mark this grand anniversary, we are raising money to give to a worthy non profit- Unaccompanied Student Initiative. The funds we raise will help to build a home for homeless teen mothers. The Amazing Mother Organization will be matching our funds. We continue to fund raise and our next fund raiser will be, Sunday, October 8th, 2023. It will be a breakfast buffet ( all you can eat) at the Elks Lodge. Stay tuned for more information.
We were delighted that 4 youth from USI joined our church in a mission trip to Alaska. They were able to serve the community there just as we serve them here in Cheyenne. They were able to learn more about the love of Jesus and forgiveness of God. This was a special bond that has been made between the two organizations. Hopefully, this bond will continue.
