2014
Pastor Thom Gibson was hired as interim minister just before Thanksgiving 2013. He served until July. While he was minister, the Board made revision of the Constitution and Bylaws to change the fiscal year to January-December.
In June, a retirement and appreciation event was held for John Hillabolt, who served as organist since 2011.
Pastor Cindy White received a Certificate in Theology and Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary. She was the first in the region to go through the program and was ordained on August 26. Pastor Jim Elias began a Bible Study series called the Mid-Week Manna held each day during the noon-hour. The refrigerator and freezer in the kitchen were replaced as well as the hot water heater in E.V. Hall. Dr. Richard Hull was hired as interim minister in September. He served until April 2015.
2015
The Pastoral Search Committee continued to their search for a new pastor. Rev. Dr. Dan Mayes came to visit in April and spoke to the congregation. He was hired and due to begin his ministry here in August. Rev. Dr. Mark Pumphrey was hired to fulfill the pulpit between May and August. Mary Amendola and Pam Hall each served as half-time organists. Wade Holzapfel was hired as church organist at the end of the year.
The Father Factor, a charitable organization renting the house on 26th Street moved out and “Be the Change” partially funded by the State began renting the house.
Changes in the Financial Accountability Policy were approved and the Board also approved a motion to accept the recommendations that after the first Internal Financial Review Committee had completed their audit, that the audit be reviewed by an outside agency.
2016
Brandi Nash was hired as the new Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries. Dana Anderson was hired as the new Office Manager.
In November, Bob Brite was hired as interim pastor. His title would later change from interim pastor to Transitional Minister for up to four years or when the committee determined that the church was ready to call a permanent pastor.
