Building Dreams, Transforming Lives - May 2026

On April 13th, the team met for the first time in three months. We had a fantastic discussion about making sure that we stay true to the original purpose of the fundraiser. 

To help teen moms with housing and resources. 

Rest assured, we’re doing everything possible to keep true to that. We’ve begun to contact nonprofits in town again, to get an update on their activities and see if our goals will fit in place with any of these other nonprofits. 

We realize that this is a big undertaking, but the hope is that we’ll be able to have an answer by the end of 2026 at the latest. 

Currently, all of the funds are invested in CDs, so they are still earning interest, and they are safe away in an account we have control over. And they won’t be touched until the congregation makes a decision about where the funds will be going. 

As for the current total of funds: 

We raised a total of: $212,221.05 

We earned interest of: $17,790.78 

TOTAL: $230,011.83 

With our original goal set for $202,600, we went over and above this. And that still deserves to be celebrated every single day! Stay tuned for updates from the team as we move forward and have more discussions!
