Where Is There a New Thing at FCC Cheyenne?

In 2021, the theme for the Central Rocky Mountain Region’s regional assembly was “God’s New Thing” and I feel that theme is so apt for us now.

We’ve just spent seven weeks going from Ashes to Rebirth to Resurrection. And it’s in that conversation that we evaluate where we’re at now. We spend time together doing new things, experiencing new things, and being faithful members of the Christian faith. Last Sunday we heard from three different people about the new things they see happening in our congregation.

I couldn’t be more proud of where we’re at right now.

Which is in the messy, awkward, and uncomfortable space of figuring out a deeper understanding of who we are and who we want to be. Our story isn’t done being written, and we continue to write it with the new things that we see, do, and honor within ourselves and our congregation.

I encourage you to continue to look for those new things. To find them and uplift them to each other, to let them continue to flourish and grow and become something wholly new and beautiful and Christ-filled.
