Worship with us!
At 10:30 a.m. every Sunday, we celebrate God's presence, together. You might call our worship service "blended."
Worship begins by 10:30 a.m. with singing and prayer. Then, the service moves into a more traditional feel, with both contemporary and traditional music.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will worship last?
Usually the service lasts about an hour.
What should I wear? We encourage you to dress as you are comfortable. Some of us dress up in our "Sunday best" and others of us wear T-shirts and jeans, and you will find everything in between.
Where should I sit?
You can sit in any of the pews you like. We all understand that this is Christ's church, and no one owns any special places or seats.
How will I know what is going on?
When you enter the sanctuary, one of the greeters will give you a "bulletin" - a program containing the worship order and special announcements. The readings and hymns will all be projected on the screen, but you can use the bibles and hymnals in the pews, too, if you prefer. If you get lost, just ask one of us and we'll be glad to help you!
Can I receive communion?
Communion at FCC is open to all. Anyone who desires may receive communion. And we won't look at you funny if you don't take communion, either. We use grape juice instead of wine in order to accommodate those who need to abstain from alcohol, and we have gluten free wafers available in addition to bread. You can come forward and receive communion "by intinction" or you can be served at your seat.
What about children?
Children are an important part of our community and they are very welcome in worship. Communion is up to the discretion of parents, but it is "customary" in our tradition for children to wait until they have been baptized. We have a special message for children during our worship service, and we also have Kids Zone, a fun-interactive worship and educational experience just for kids.
